Aha, a popular streaming platform known for its compelling original content, has announced a new film titled Balu Gani Talkies. Shiva Rama Chandravarapu is playing the lead role. Taking to X, it shared the first-look poster of the film and wrote, “Very soon, on your favourite ‘Balugani Talkies’! Everyone says Jai Balayya and get ready!!” The poster of the upcoming film also featured the phrase Jai Balayya. It is said that this film is about an ardent fan of Balakrishna and his love for films.
The poster by the looks showcased a period drama set in the early 90s. An old film reel box and projector can be seen in the poster. It also mentioned the ticket price as Rs 20 in the poster’s background. The ticket prices showcased the title of the film, and below it is also mentioned that the ticket is non-refundable and also valid for one show. The poster of the film raised the expectations of the fans and followers.
Directed by Viswanathan Prathap, the film also stars Saranya Sharma, Raghu Kunchey, Sudhakar Reddy, Vamshi Nekkanti, Suresh Poojari, and Shekar in pivotal roles. This OTT film is produced by Sreenidhi Sagar, while the co-producer of the film is P. Rupak Pranav Tej. Balu Sandilyasa is working as the cinematographer and the music is composed by Smaran. The background score for this film is by Aditya BN and the costume design is by Ashwanth Byri. The screenplay for the film is written by Ashwith Gowtham.
It is reported that this comedy film will be released in the second week of August, but there is no official confirmation about the same. The makers of the film have made it clear with a single poster that this film is being made in a periodical backdrop, evoking the days when single-screen theatres were popular.
