Film producer Boney Kapoor and his daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, paid tribute to the late Sridevi on what would have been her 61st birthday on August 13. A few days later, Boney took to Instagram again to remember his late wife, sharing a recent photo of himself standing in front of a painting created by Sridevi.
In the post, Boney reflected on his physical transformation, crediting Sridevi as his inspiration. He shared, “Hair is getting thicker, I am looking better, lost 14 kgs, 8 more to go… my inspiration is my Jaan (Sridevi), her art is behind me, her thoughts are always with me, she remains with me all the time.” In the picture, Boney is seen wearing a blue T-shirt and matching sunglasses.
Earlier this year, Boney had spoken about his hair transformation, thanking a clinic in Hyderabad for helping him achieve a new look. He had written, “Hyderabad on 17th EUGENIX hair transplant clinic, which has worked on giving me and so many others from world over a new hairy look. Baldness of many will disappear soon from Hyderabad. All the very best to make Hyderabad hairy & more glamorous…”
Recently, Boney also shared a portrait of Sridevi on her birth anniversary, featuring a photo of the late actress from her 2012 film ‘English Vinglish’. Along with the image, he wrote a heartfelt message, “Happy birthday, my Jaan.”
Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s love story is one of Bollywood’s most cherished and enduring romances, marked by deep affection, mutual respect, and unwavering support. Their relationship blossomed in the 1980s when Boney, a successful film producer, first set eyes on Sridevi, already a reigning queen of Indian cinema. Despite being captivated by her beauty and talent, Boney’s admiration for Sridevi was more than just infatuation—it was the beginning of a love that would last a lifetime.
Their journey to togetherness wasn’t without challenges. At the time, Boney was already married, and Sridevi was known for her reserved and private nature. However, Boney’s persistence and genuine affection eventually won her over. He supported her through thick and thin, both personally and professionally, proving that his love for her was unwavering.
The couple married in 1996, a union that surprised many but was rooted in deep love and commitment. Together, they became one of Bollywood’s most powerful and beloved couples. Boney and Sridevi had two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi, who have since followed their mother’s footsteps into the limelight.
Sridevi’s untimely death in 2018 left a profound void in Boney’s life, but he continues to honor her memory, frequently sharing tributes and recalling the special moments they shared. Their love story remains a poignant reminder of the power of true love in the face of life’s adversities.
