BTS’ Jin, aka Kim Seok-Jin, is finally releasing his first solo album. Recently, the group’s agency, BigHit Music, officially announced that the eldest member of the band is set to release his album titled Happy in the next month. The K-pop star is expected to release the first track, I’ll Be There, from the album later this month. Even before the song’s release, it has already gained popularity, securing a place in the bestsellers’ charts.
At present, Jin’s I’ll Be There is at No.16 on the U.S. iTunes chart. The song quickly gained popularity when it was offered for presale in America, becoming a top 20 bestseller even before its release scheduled for October 25. After its debut, the song will become eligible to reach the charts worldwide. The immense popularity of the song is a clear indication that the ARMYs are eagerly anticipating the solo debut of the eldest member of BTS. Notably, I’ll Be There isn’t the lead single of the K-pop star’s solo album. Running Wild has been announced as the lead single, and it will be released sometime after I’ll Be There.
On Monday, October 14, BigHit announced Jin’s debut solo album through their social media channels. It will reportedly be released on November 15, 2024. The eldest member of the K-pop band BTS was relieved from his military duties in June. Since then, his fans have been eagerly waiting for his comeback. During a previous live session, Jin teased his fans about his upcoming music album, saying that he had finished recording it. “My album work? It has been a while since I finished recording. The mix and masters are done. I would be really thankful if you could wait a little bit. The songs are good, so I listen to them from time to time,” he mentioned back then.
Before the release of his first solo album, Jin delighted his fans by releasing the extended version of his hit song Super Tuna. The dance song highlighted the K-pop star’s love for fish. Jin released the original track back in December 2021 on the occasion of his birthday.
