BTS Star Jungkook Announces New Single Never Let Go, Check Release Date

There is never a dull day for BTS ARMY. This South Korean boy band has taken the world by storm in the last few years. Even though all the members of BTS are currently serving their compulsory military service, they have made sure to arrange a number of activities and surprises for their fans to stay in touch. This time, it is the youngest member or as the ARMY calls him, mankae, Jungkook who has a special gift in store. Recently, he made an exciting announcement that left fans waiting eagerly for his upcoming project.

On Sunday, June 2, the BTS member announced the upcoming release of a new single titled Never Let Go. The single is scheduled to be released at 1 p.m. KST on June 7 and will be accessible through Weverse and BTS’ official channels.

According to a press release from HYBE, the entertainment company that manages BTS, “Never Let Go is a track dedicated to [BTS] fans, ARMY, conveying a sincere message to never let go of each other”, reports Billboard.

This new single is Jungkook’s first solo music since the release of his debut solo album, Golden, in 2023. It was a huge success too, reportedly ranking at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

In addition to Jungkook’s new single, BTS has also made an announcement regarding its 2024 FESTA celebration plans. This annual event is a special time for BTS and their fans, as it marks the anniversary of the group’s debut. This year, FESTA will be held on June 13 in Seoul Sports Complex in South Korea. It will celebrate BTS’ 11th anniversary, reports Billboard.

One of the most exciting parts of the 2024 FESTA will be the official appearance of its member Jin, who recently got discharged from his mandatory military service. In addition to Jin, the other members of BTS – RM, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook – are also currently serving in the military. The group is planning to reunite for band activities in 2025.

As for Jungkook specifically, along with Jimin, he began his military service on December 12, 2023, and both are expected to be discharged on June 11, 2025.
