Chandan Prabhakar BREAKS Silence on Kapil Sharma's Show Getting Mixed Response: 'Ab TV Se Bahar...'
Chandan Prabhakar, who used to be an integral part of The Kapil Sharma Show when it aired on TV, has no plans to return to 'The Great Kapil Sharma Show' anytime soon.

It’s been a month since Kapil Sharma’s new show on Netflix, The Great Indian Kapil Show, went live on the streaming giant. The show has been getting mixed response from the audience. Some people are elated with Kapil’s comeback on screen, while others feel that his show has lost its charm as it’s not as funny as it used to be.

Now, actor-comedian Chandan Prabhakar, who used to be an integral part of The Kapil Sharma Show when it aired on TV, has opened up about the show getting average response, and whether its shift from television to the digital space has affected its popularity.

“Ab television zone se bahar nikal kar OTT ke liye kuch kar rahe hain, toh ek hesitation bhi rehti hai team main. Whenever we experiment with a show, there’s no guarantee it will work. There’s no formula to making it a success, woh cheezein apne aap ho jaati hain. However, I feel eventually it will start working, but yes, it will take time for sure,” Chandan told Hindustan Times.

He continued, “Jo bhi logon ki observations hain about the jokes, team ko zaroor mind main rakhna chahiye as to what people are thinking and saying, kyunki logon ke liye hi show bana rahe hain. And if they don’t get the entertainment they are seeking, then what’s the point?”

Chandan further revealed that he has no plans to return to Kapil’s show, “I have signed something good which will be announced soon, that was the reason why I took a break from Kapil’s show. I wanted to break that zone, because you get tagged for one thing, your energy doesn’t get other channels. I am doing what I always wanted to do in life,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma has wrapped up ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, but he will be back with its second season soon. In an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Kiku Sharda made the big revelation and promised that the wrap-up is only “temporary”.

“We have done 13 episodes and the second season will come out soon. We have just wrapped up the first season. It was always meant to be like this. We have already planned the next season and it will come out soon. There won’t be a very huge gap,” he told us.
