Ramesh Gopi Nair, popularly known as Remo D’Souza, is one of the most successful and talented Indian choreographers. He is also a film director and producer. A few of his prolific works include Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Bajirao Mastani. In his career spanning more than two decades, he has worked in more than 100 movies. He is the most sought-after choreographer in B-town. Recently, the actor celebrated his 50th birthday. Remo D’Souza got married to Lizelle in 1999. Lizelle D’Souza is a costume designer who has worked on various television shows. The couple are proud parents to Dhruv and Gabriel. On multiple occasions, he has credited his wife for his successful career and for always standing by his side. The duo is often considered couple of goals.

Reportedly, their love story is quite interesting. Lizelle Watkins belonged to an Anglo-Indian family. There was a time in the choreographer’s life when he was struggling to make money and used to teach dance at various places. Once, Lizelle came to his dance class and it was here they fell in love with each other. As per reports, when Lizelle used to make mistakes while dancing, Remo D’Souza used to be a strict teacher and scold her. The duo got married at a very young age. Remo later converted to Christianity and adopted his now official name.

As per reports, the couple who have been married now for 25 years have got married to each other thrice in different customs. In 2019, Remo and Lizelle got married for the third time as per Christian rituals on their 20th wedding anniversary.

In an episode, Mithun Chakraborty had taken a dig at Remo to which he replied that he used to give 100 missed calls to Lizelle every day during his struggle period. He clarified that if one wanted to talk on the phone for a minute, they would have had to pay Rs 16. Hence, he communicated with her via missed calls.
