Diljit Dosanjh Gets Slammed For Charging Rs 25,000 Per Ticket For His Show: 'Koi Haq Nahi Banta...'
Social media influencer Saumya Sahni called out Diljit Dosanjh and alleged that is he not being considerate towards his Indian audiences.

Comedian and social media influencer Saumya Sahni has lashed out at Diljit Dosanjh for charging around Rs 25,000 per ticket for his upcoming Dil-Luminati Tour in India. Recently, Sahni took to her Instagram handle and shared a video in which she criticised the Punjabi star. She mentioned that he should not have charged high prices for his concert when most of his audience in India ‘have no money or are unemployed’.

“I might regret saying this later, but no Indian artiste should charge ₹20-25 thousand for one concert in India when they are playing in so many cities. They can do more sets in each city because your audience has no money or employment and limited means of entertainment. To see someone like him sing in our language means a lot but middle-class people have no access to him,” she said in Hindi.

Saumya further argued that had the prices of Diljit’s concern been affordable, middle-class people and children could have enjoyed it as well. She called out Diljit and alleged that is he not being considerate towards his Indian audiences.

“He makes so much money with his overseas shows that he could have been more considerate towards his fans in India and charged a little less. In comparison, international artists charge around $100-150 for a ticket. Lollapalooza passes, too, cost less despite the massive lineup of performances,” she added.

Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour will be an epic 10-city celebration. It will kick off at the iconic Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on October 26, 2024. Following Delhi, the tour will make its way to Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati. The tickets of the show were made available recently but were sold out in minutes. For Delhi, there were just two ticket categories available which started at Rs 19,999 (Fan Pit) and Gold (Phase 3), which was priced at Rs 12,999. The two categories were nearly sold out right away.
