Diljit Dosanjh shared his first social media post since it was claimed that he was married and had a son. While the Punjabi actor-singer has not addressed the reports about his personal life, he returned to Instagram to promote his upcoming film, Amar Singh Chamkila. Diljit shared a post featuring his interview with comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi for Netflix India in which he and Imtiaz Ali spoke about their film.
He shared the video with the caption, “Kahaniyan badlengi par Chamkile ke geet humesha amar rahenge ❤️✨.” In the video, Diljit opened up about playing Chamkila and working with Imtiaz Ali. The singer called working with Imtiaz a ‘big deal.’ “See, I had no expectations. This is a huge thing, high expectations… Working with Imtiaz Ali sir is a huge deal. I never dreamt of it. We all have a bucket list, right? Working with him wasn’t on my list because I never thought it could happen. So firstly, thanks to Chamkila. This is all thanks to him! We owe it all to him,” Diljit said in the video.
“So when sir called me, it was a big deal. I told sir that I was already in a similar film (Jodi, 2023). But if he wanted to make one, I was keen to join. I was ready for any film with him. So, I think it’s all owed to Chamkila. Thanks to sir and everyone else!” he added.
For the unversed, earlier this week, an unnamed friend shed light on Diljit Dosanjh’s wife and child in a profile piece done by Indian Express for their section, Sunday Express Eye. The friend has claimed that the Punjabi singer’s wife is an Indian-American and they share a son. “An intensely private person, little is known about his family but friends say his wife is an American-Indian and they have a son, and his parents live in Ludhiana,” the profile piece mentioned. The report also claims that his wife and son live in the US.
