Aditya 369: Considered to be one of the most revolutionary Telugu films of the 1990’s, 'Aditya 369' revolved around the unique concept of time travel. Playing a double role, Balakrishna got into the skin of both his characters, delivering one of the best performances of his career. Interestingly, the film was presented by legendary playback singer SP Balasubramanyam. It also featured Bollywood actors Amrish Puri and Tinnu Anand in pivotal roles.

Rowdy Inspector: Directed by B Gopal, this engaging action-drama created quite a buzz among movie buffs, thanks to the cackling chemistry between Balakrishna and Vijayshanti. A runaway hit at the ticket window, 'Rowdy Inspector' revolved around the friendship between a daring police officer and a feisty female auto driver. Moreover, it also boasted of some captivating fight sequences.

Sri Rama Rajyam: Best remembered for Balakrishna’s beautifully restrained performance as well as its technical finesse, 'Sri Rama Rajyam' was included by a leading website its list of top 5 Telugu films of 2011. Highlighting the lives of lord Rama and Sita, the film bagged as many as seven Nandi awards. Legend: Reuniting the 'Simha' duo of Balakishna and Boyapati Srinu, 'legend' featured the actor at his absolute best. Boasting of an engaging plot, which highlighted the intense rivalry between two families, this action-drama did some pretty brisk pre-release business. Upon releasing, it opened to a fabulous response at the box office, garnering rave reviews. Featuring some footing-tapping music from Devi Sri Pasad, the film helped Balakishna bag a SICA awad in the best actor category this year.
