Hema Malini Holds Dharmendra's Hand In Unseen Photo From Their 44th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Hema Malini and Dharmendra are celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary on Thursday, May 2. On this special day, the actress-turned-politician took to her Instagram handle to share a glimpse of their celebration. In the photo, Hema Malini was seen holding Dharmendra’s hand as they smiled and posed for the camera. In the caption of her post, Hema Malini wrote, “Our anniversary photos”.

Earlier today, Hema Malini also shared a fan-made edit on social media which was a compilation of several of her unseen moments with Dharmendra. In the caption of the video, Hema Malini penned down a love-filled note which read, “Our wedding anniversary today! 44 years of togetherness, 2 beautiful girls, lovely gchildren surrounding us & drowning us with their love! Our fans & their limitless adulation! What more can I ask of life? Our eternal gratitude to the Almighty for this gift of happiness (sic).”

Hema Malini and Dharmendra first met in 1970 when they were shooting for their film Tum Haseen Main Jawaan. Fans loved their pairing. But when they decided to get married, even Hema’s parents were not in favour. However, life had different plans for the couple and after many difficulties, they got married in 1980. They have two daughters – Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

Before Bollywood’s Dream Girl, Dharmendra was married to Prakash Kaur with whom he has two sons – Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

In December, Hema celebrated Dharmendra’s 88th birthday when she took to her Instagram handle and shared a love-filled note for the actor. “Wishing my dearest life partner of many years, a very happy, healthy and joyful birthday. May you have all the love your heart can hold, all the happiness a day can bring, and all the blessings a life can unfold. I just want to say: I hope you can see how special you are to me. Happy birthday to my love!. @aapkadharam,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Dharmendra was last seen in Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. He will soon be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Ikkis’, which will star Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda in the lead.

On the other hand, Hema Malini is currently busy with the Lok Sabha elections. The actress is contesting from the Mathura constituency on the BJP ticket. Recently, Hema was also joined by her daughters Esha and Ahana for the campaign in Mathura.
