Janhvi Kapoor Hails Her Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Co-Stars As ‘Best Team’ After Wrapping Up Udaipur Schedule

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are set to share screen space again in the movie, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Reportedly, the team has been shooting in Udaipur for quite some time, and one of the cast members, Maniesh Paul, shared that they have wrapped up the schedule there. He also posted a picture with the entire team. Janhvi Kapoor reposted Maniesh Paul’s picture on her Instagram, exclaiming that she has worked with the “Best Team Ever.”

Maniesh Paul shared a candid selfie featuring the movie’s cast, including Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra and Manini Chadha, all beaming with bright smiles. Along with the picture, he wrote, “And that’s a schedule wrap for udaipur!!!” followed by a nazar amulet emoji #ssktk”

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari was announced earlier this year, and the official announcement video revealed the film’s release date. The post stated, “Your Sanskari is on his way to get his Kumari! This love story wrapped with entertainment is coming to the big screens!” The post also added that the movie will release on April 18 2025!

Speaking about her experience working on this romantic comedy, Janhvi Kapoor told Pinkvilla, “It’s my home turf. I feel most at ease here; it’s the space where I can do comedy and masti (have fun). I’m embracing the nakhre-vakhre (drama) and just enjoying myself a lot. We shot a song, and people on set were asking, ‘Why didn’t you do this before?’ I’m having a lot of fun doing it.”

The film is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan, known for the Dulhania franchise, and is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan himself. This marks the second collaboration between Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, following their 2023 film, Bawaal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

Meanwhile, Janhvi is gearing up for the premiere of her highly anticipated South debut film, Devara: Part I, co-starring Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan, which will be released on September 27, 2024. Varun Dhawan is also busy with his thriller Baby John, directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, Murad Khetani, and Jyoti Deshpande for Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, and A for Apple Productions. The film features an impressive cast, including Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
