Hollywood stars Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves have famously co-starred in films like 1994’s Speed and 2006’s The Lake House. Their fans have loved their on-screen chemistry and have been eagerly awaiting their reunion for years. As much as their fans want to see them together on the screen, both stars have also expressed their desire to work together again. In a recent episode of the 50 MPH podcast, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock were seen together to discuss their hit film, Speed. The episode also featured their co-stars, Jeff Daniels and Alan Ruck. During the show, both actors talked about their fondness for each other and how they were down to star together in the third part of Speed.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, in the episode of the 50 MPH podcast, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock were asked about their possible reunion for the third part of Speed. In response, Keanu said, “I mean, you know—we’d freakin’ knock it out of the park.” At the same time, Sandra chipped in as well and said, “Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera. Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Are we on little scooters at Disneyland?”
Continuing their conversation in the episode, both actors expressed their admiration for each other. Keanu added that even though it can’t be forced, he still feels that there is something that wasn’t done and he would love to work with Sandra in this life. He further added that they have a lot of affection for each other. Even though the characters were quite different from their real personalities, they still connected and had fun.
Sandra revealed that she felt very comfortable working with Keanu, and she could do almost anything with him around. She added that the kind of trust they both have in each other is very rare.
Three years after the release of Speed, the second part of the franchise was released in 1997. Even though Sandra starred in a sequel, Keanu did not.
