While Kapil Sharma continue to make headlines for his mid-air scuffle with Sunil Grover, which was followed by an apology, his professional rival Krushna Abhishek has now made statements in his favour. Yes, Kapil’s unlikely ally doesn’t think his professional accomplishments is making him do things that aren’t expected out of him.
In one of his recent interviews to DNA, Krushna defended Kapil. “I won’t say Kapil has become too big or success has gone to his head,” he said.
In his attempt to shield Kapil of the criticism that has come his way, courtesy his unruly behavior, Krushna said, “It’s just that even the small things he does are being blown out of proportion. I have worked with Kapil for five years in Comedy Circus and I know him very well — his good and bad points — and he knows mine.”
Like Kapil, who had played down his fight with Sunil, Krushna too feels fights amongst friends is understandable. “Sunil and Kapil are good friends and friends fight. Right now, Kapil is doing well, his show is a success so people are making a big deal out of it.”
Interestingly, Krushna showed no qualms in appreciating Kapil’s talent as an actor and chat show host.
“Kapil is talented and has been taking his entire team along with him for four years now, which is not a small thing. Also, Sunil had quit Kapil’s show earlier, too but went back. As I said, two friends can fight after drinking, on the sets, on creative issues, on a dinner table or at home and there’s nothing unusual about it,” he added.
