Lifetime Unveils First Look Of Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce-Inspired FIlm

Remember when we told you about a Christmas special film on lovebirds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce? Well, the holiday romance is finally happening! Lifetime recently announced its complete holiday schedule on Tuesday (October 15), which also includes the film titled Christmas in the Spotlight. As per The Hollywood Reporter, while the film is not officially based on their love story, the characters and timeline of events are quite similar.

It revolves around a pop star named Bowyn who is searching for the love of her life. At one of her shows, she happens to meet a professional football player, Drew, who publicly declares his love for her. “With each passing day they spend together, their feelings grow stronger… But can it last in the limelight, especially when they both have such hectic schedules? With people questioning if their feelings for each other are real or just for show, the pressure mounts from the press, paparazzi, their fans, and even their family," the film’s description read.

Along with the film announcement, Lifetime also dropped the first of the characters, showing actors Jessica Lord (Bowyn) and Laith Wallschleger (Drew) on the red carpet. One can also see the beautiful Christmas decorations in the background as the couple share a romantic pose.

The Lifetime rom-com also stars actors like Jeannie Mai as Bowyn’s manager and Haley Kalil as Drew’s sister-in-law and is slated to release on November 23. Meanwhile, the channel will premiere a total of 12 festive films with stars like Love Hewitt, Tia Mowry, Deborah Joy Winans, Maria Menounos, BeBe Winans, Vivica A. Fox, Jackée Harry, Romeo Miller, Sarah Drew, Teri Hatcher, Sasha Pieterse, Mitchell Slaggert, Brian Hallisay, RonReaco Lee and others.

While the makers have not confirmed whether the Lifetime movie is inspired by their relationship, it bears certain striking similarities. Apart from their similar professions, the film connects to the real-life events when Travis Kelce attended one of Taylor’s Eras Tour concerts, soon sparking their romance.
