Mamitha Baiju To Team Up With Pradeep Ranganathan In Her Second Tamil Project
Her Malayalam release, Premalu, is one of the biggest money spinners of Malayalam cinema this year.

Pradeep Ranganathan debuted as a director in Tamil cinema with the film Comali starring Jayam Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal and Yogi Babu. The first film he directed brought him many accolades. After that, following a three-year hiatus, Pradeep directed the film Love Today and played the main protagonist himself in that film. The film, which was centred on the perception of love and romance for the contemporary generation, had a great reception. People thronged to the theatres to watch the film. Many youngsters became ardent fans of Pradeep Ranganathan. After the film Love Today, new acting opportunities came his way and he will soon be seen in Love Insurance Corporation and Dragon.

The latest reports are that Pradeep Ranganathan has landed yet another lead role in a film directed by Sudha Kongara’s assistant director Keerthiswaran in his debut venture. The biggest highlight of the film is that Malayalam actress Mamitha Baiju is to appear in her second Tamil project with this film, starring Pradeep Ranganathan. She had earlier appeared in the Tamil film Rebel. The political drama, set in the 1980s, followed the life of Kathiresan, a college student from Munnar, who moves to Palakkad for better education. Things take a turn for worse when he gets into a college conflict which ends up getting bigger and bigger.

Her Malayalam film Premalu is one of the biggest money spinners of Malayalam cinema this year. It is also the sixth highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time. With both Pradeep and Mamitha having a great track record, fans are keen to witness the fresh pairing of both the actors together.

Coming back to Pradeep’s other upcoming films, Life Insurance Corporation is being directed by Vignesh Shivan and has SJ Suryah And Krithi Shetty in pivotal roles. The movie was initially offered to Sivakarhtikeyan but the movie was shelved and later revived with a fresh cast. His other project Dragon is directed by Aswath Marimuthu of Oh My Kadavule fame.
