In a video from the event, Mrunal and Sandeep were seen walking into the event at the same time. As soon as Mrunal spotted the filmmaker, she headed toward him and greeted him. She then noticed his award and congratulated him. Fans noticed that they had an adorable handshake.

The duo had a quick chat before they headed into the awards show. Mrunal was seen wearing a grand saree at the awards show. She styled it with a choker and tied up her hair into a neat bun. Rakshit’s Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side A co-stars Rukmini Vasanth and Ramesh Indira also took home Best Actress (Critics) and Best Actor in Negative Role, respectively. Singer Kapil Kapilan took home the Best Playback Singer (Male) for Sapta Saagaradaache Ello – Side A.
