Panchayat Season 3 was one of the most eagerly anticipated web shows this year and started streaming on Prime Video this week. The principal actors’ performances, the simple storyline, and the characters have helped Panchayat become one of the most popular shows ever. The makers have undoubtedly kept the audience engaged with three successful seasons. In the latest interview, Jitendra Kumar, who plays the role of Abhishek Tripathi, shared the difficulties actors face in maintaining the same vibe of the show over the years.
In conversation with filmygyan, Jitendra Kumar said, “Mujhe lagta hai jo same space maintain karte hai woh bahut difficult hota hai aur woh bahut kam dekhne ko milta hai. Baaki series mein mujhe jaise koi cheez achi lag gayi to aisa lagta hai ki haan abhi kuch alag hi karte hai. Acha hota hai woh aur maza aata hai woh dekhne mein, Par mujhe lagta hai ki woh maintain karna bhi achi quality hoti hai. Jo similar vibe aapko aayi hogi season 1 2 dekhke wohi maintain karne ki koshish ki hai. (I feel it is important to maintain that same space, and it is quite difficult. In other series, if people like something, makers try to experiment more, and while that turns out to be good, maintaining a similar vibe is also important. We have tried to maintain that in the current season as well).”
Further, he stated that it was initially difficult to get back to your character after a significant break, and he had to give a few retakes. He shared that one struggles to get into the flow in the first few days. But once the entire crew is together, they return to the zone.
The latest season of the comedy series reunites the fan-favourite cast including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, and Sanvikaa. Deepak Kumar Mishra directed the series, written by Chandan Kumar and produced by TVF. The series debuted on Prime Video in April 2020, was an instant hit and received an overwhelming response, prompting the release of a second season in 2022. The story follows an engineering graduate who is forced to become a panchayat secretary in the fictional town of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh, due to a lack of career choices.
