Triptii Dimri allegedly auditioned for Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2 but it is claimed that she did not impress the makers. The actress is the new rage in Bollywood. Ever since she starred in Animal, Triptii has been bagging movies after movies. This year alone, her filmography includes Bad Newz, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Dhadak 2. If a new report is to be believed, Triptii was eyeing on ending the year with a bang with an item song in Pushpa: The Rule.
However, it seems like her plans did not fall in place. “Triptii Dimri, the current sensation in Bollywood, was keen on being a part of Pushpa 2: The Rule through an item song. She even auditioned for the same,” the source told Times Now. The grapevine added, “The makers auditioned Triptii Dimri, but rejected her.” News18 Showsha has couldn’t verify the claims at the time of reporting.
However, this is not the first time that her name has been linked to Pushpa 2. Back in May, Bollywood Now had also claimed that Triptii and Pushpa 2 makers were in talks. At the time, it was claimed that she was roped in. However, the makers nor the actress addressed these claims.
Meanwhile, Triptii has grabbed eyeballs with the song Mere Mehboob. Featuring in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, the song marks her first solo dance number. This is also the first time that she is sharing the screen with Rajkummar Rao. The film’s much-awaited trailer was released recently and it has only piqued fans’ interest in the film. The teaser takes us into the 90s and promises that the film will be ‘97% parivarik’ and ‘3% maha parivarik’. As per the trailer, the story revolves around a CD containing an intimate video of a couple that leads to chaos in a small town. Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video will be out in theatres on October 11.
On the other hand, Pushpa 2 is set to release in December. The film is headlined by Allu Arjun, and marks Rashmika Mandanna as well as Fahadh Faasil.
