Raayan: Dhanush Grooves To Energetic FIRST Song 'Adangaadha Asuran' From His 50th Film, Watch

Dhanush, the prolific actor of Tamil cinema, is gearing up for an eventful year ahead with multiple film projects in the pipeline. Among his upcoming ventures, Raayan holds special significance as it marks his milestone 50th film as an actor and his second directorial endeavour. With the anticipation surrounding the film, the makers have a treat to Dhanush’s fans after they unveiled the first song titled

‘Adangaadha Asuran’.

Taking to his X(formerly Twitter) handle, Dhanush shared an intense poster, in which he can be seen with a shaven head and bare body looking towards the ground with splashes of water in the backdrop. The music for Raayan is composed by none other than the legendary AR Rahman.

The release of the lyrical video for ‘Adangaadha Asuran’ offers a glimpse of some catchy dance moves from the movie. Dhanush was spotted grooving alongside a large group of dancers in the song, which was choreographed by Prabhu Deva. Additionally , th single from ‘Raayan’ has also been launched in Telugu and Hindi languages in preparation for its grand pan-Indian release on June 13.

To celebrate Tamil New Year, Dhanush shared a new poster of Raayan, showcasing himself alongside his co-stars Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, and the debutante female lead Dushara Vijayan. This poster provides the first glimpse of Dushara Vijayan’s character, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film. Although fans anticipated the unveiling of the teaser for Raayan on Tamil New Year’s Day, they were left disappointed as the makers postponed the release.

Raayan is described as a gangster drama set in the backdrop of north Chennai, with Dhanush, Kalidas Jayaram, and Sundeep Kishan portraying brothers. The ensemble cast also includes SJ Suryah, Nithya Menen, Aparna Balamurali, Selvaraghavan, and Saravanan in pivotal roles. The film is slated for release in June this year.

Previously, in February, the makers unveiled an intriguing poster offering a glimpse into the intense narrative of Raayan. Dhanush, donning an apron, exuded intensity in his character portrayal. The film promises to be a gripping revenge drama and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages.

Having wrapped up its shooting in December last year, Raayan is currently undergoing post-production work. Dhanush commenced filming for this project in July last year. The film was officially announced with a striking poster featuring the actor sporting a clean-shaven head, hinting at his character’s transformative journey.
