The government has bestowed the Padma Vibhushan to legendary Telugu film star Chiranjeevi and former vice president M. Venkaiah Naidu this year. Despite the fact that the award ceremony took place lately, Chiranjeevi was unable to make it. As a result, he was presented with the award during this special ceremony in Delhi’s Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s name appeared on the exclusive list of Padma awardees for 2024, which the Indian government revealed on January 25. Soon after the announcement, fans and a number of industry people showered the veteran actor with greetings.
According to PinkVilla, a number of superstars, including Allu Arjun, Dil Raju, Varun Tej, Buchi Babu and others paid Chiranjeevi a personal visit. Following that, a spectacular celebration was also held in honour of Chiranjeevi, during which Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy congratulated him. In 2006, the actor received the third-highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan.
Chiranjeevi, one of the South’s reigning superstars, has appeared in over 150 feature films in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada. His well-known motion pictures include Gang Leader, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Indra, Tagore, Rudra Veena and Swayam Krushi. Bhola Shankar (2023) was his last big-screen appearance.
The actor is presently putting the finishing touches on Vishwambhara, his next socio-fantasy movie in which he plays the protagonist opposite Trisha Krishnan. Mallidi Vassishta wrote and directed the film, which is produced by V. Vamshi Krishna and Pramod Uppalapati under UV Creations. Vishwambhara is filmmaker Vassishta’s second film following his auspicious breakthrough with the fantasy drama Bimbisara.
