Rekha Spotted Kissing Mom-to-be Richa Chadha’s Baby Bump At Heeramandi Screening, Fans Call It ‘Sweet'

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has recently organised a grand premiere of his upcoming web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazar. Many celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Rekha and others were seen attending it. Richa Chadha, who is also the cast of the series, is expecting her first child. She was seen attending the event. Today, a video from the screening has gone viral on social media. Rekha is seen giving a kiss to her baby bump and fans have been praising this gesture as sweet.

In the video, shared by Viral Bhayani, we can see Richa and Rekha having a conversation and then the veteran actress bends down and gives her special blessing to the bump. She was seen kissing and Richa was smiling. As soon as the video went viral, fans praised it. Many called it ‘sweet gesture’ and some even called Rekha a pure soul.

Heeramandi, a historical drama series, transports audiences to a time when courtesans reigned as monarchs. Through the stories of courtesans and their clients, set against the turbulent backdrop of the Indian Independence struggle in the 1940s, the series investigates the cultural reality of the namesake area of Heera Mandi.

In February last year, the makers shared a teaser that showcased Manisha Koirala looking stunning in a royal getup, followed by similar smiling glimpses of the rest of the cast.

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar will premiere on streaming service Netflix on May 1. The release date of the much-anticipated show was announced at a drone light show event held at the Mahalaxmi Race Course in South Mumbai.

The Heeramandi actress recently opened up about her pregnancy and said that Ali will make an incredible father. She said that she is doing well and is excited for this new phase in her life. Talking to the Hindustan Times about Ali Fazal, Richa said, “I am blessed to have a partner like him. Whenever anyone says anything good about Ali, no one is ever surprised because he is that person. He is a man of character, as involved in the house as I am. Now that he will have a family of his own, he is very excited. I think he will make an incredible father.”

“I go with the flow. Whatever Ali and I do, we do with a lot of fluid movement, it’s all organic. We are both excited for this new phase. I am not very American about this. I have seen my mom have a second child, my younger brother, and go back to working in 40 days. I have seen all women in my family just give birth and go back to living their lives as they would. I don’t want to stress about it too,” she added.
