Mumbai: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui says he bonded well with Salman Khan on the sets of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and describes the superstar as having "a child-like innocence".

It is the second time that the two actors will be seen sharing screen space after their successful 2014 film ‘Kick’. "While we were shooting for `Bajrangi Bhaijaan', we

had a lot of fun during the break. Salman and I bonded well on the sets. "We use to talk a lot after pack up. I felt he has a child like innocence and has maintained that innocence," the ‘Kahaani’ actor said.

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" also stars Kareena Kapoor and is slated to release this Friday, July 17. Nawazuddin will be next seen in "Manjhi- The Mountain Man", where he will play the lead role opposite Radhika Apte.

The movie is based on the life of an extraordinary man from Bihar, Dashrath Manjhi, who carved a path through a mountain using only a hammer and chisel so that people in his village can have easy access to nearest hospital.

"It is very difficult for an ordinary man to dig mountain for 22 years just for the love of his wife (who died due to lack of medical facility in village).

"It is the story of dedication. On sets it was physically and mentally tough to get into the mindset of someone who did something impossible."

The 41-year-old actor revealed he injured himself several times during the shooting of the film. He said it took one-and-a-half month for him to come out of the role of his character (Manjhi). "I went out alone to several places... this is the impact this character has had on me."
