Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is winning the hearts on the internet, thanks to an adorable video of him kissing his niece Ayat Sharma and nephew Ahil Sharma at the screening of his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma’s upcoming movie, ‘Ruslaan’. Salman, who has been receiving death threats of late, was surrounded by his Y+ security as he arrived at the premiere in Mumbai on Thursday evening. On April 14, gunshots were fired outside Salman’s residence at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area, where he stays with his parents.
In a video, shared by Viral Bhayani on his Instagram account, Salman is seen posing with Aayush and his sister Arpita Khan Sharma on the red carpet. Salman looked dapper in coral red-coloured t-shirt and blue jeans. Netizens dropped a series of red heart and fire emojis on the video.
Aayush Sharma’s ‘Ruslaan’ releases in theatres today. He made his film debut in 2018 with the romantic drama ‘Loveyatri’. The film was backed by Salman Khan. He followed it up with ‘Antim: The Final Truth’, also featuring Salman. When both films received lukewarm response at the box office, Aayush faced severe criticism. One troll even said that Salman “should have launched a dog instead of Aayush”. Recently, Aayush reacted to the infamous comment.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Aayush recalled, “I was facing a lot of things till then but when I was compared to a dog, that day I had a thought. That when my son grows up and goes on the internet and reads about his father, (he will read) some person wrote that ‘his father is a dog’ that for me was… When my son and daughter grow up they should read good things about their father. They should be proud of me. And a big portal wrote about me that I am a dog, ‘Aayush Sharma is a dog.’” Aayush said that the hate comment pushed him to work harder on himself. He added, “Today, I want to thank them, you kicked me to become this person.”
In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Aayush confessed that while working within family has given him a lot, it has also sent out a false image of him.
“People think that I don’t have brains of my own and that everything is decided for me by the Khan family. They love me but this isn’t true at all. Everyone had great intent for me but that also meant that I was protected and I didn’t know the real industry,” he told us.
