Telugu star Samantha Ruth Prabhu has shared a moving post about 'reaching out to your loved ones' on her Instagram handle, and tagged her best friends on it.

Telugu star Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Thursday shared a moving video about “reaching out to your loved ones” and tagged her best friends on it. The actress took to her Instagram stories to share the video in which American author and motivational speaker, Simon Sinek, talks about “the 8 minutes theory” and how it can help someone who is “struggling”.

Explaining the theory in the video, Sinek recalls, “I have a dear, dear friend who is going through a very hard time, my friend Maria. I went to her house for dinner and she was telling me about this awful time she went through. And I wanted to be sympathetic but at the same time I was really pissed off that she didn’t call me. And I was like, ‘What the hell? I’m here, I love you, I support you. You’re always there for me. Why wouldn’t you let me there for you? How selfish are you?’ She says to me, ‘I did reach out to you a number of times.’ And I look at my phone, like the text, where she goes, ‘Want to come over?’ I’m like, ‘How the hell do I know that it’s a cry for help versus every other time you ask me over which sounds exactly the same?’ So she read an article that said when somebody’s struggling all they need is 8 minutes of help or support from a friend to get them back on track. So we came up with a code. We write to each other, ‘Do you have 8 minutes?’ It means I need you. And anybody can step out of their meeting for 8 minutes to be there for a friend.”

Samantha reposted the video and tagged her close friends Rahul Ravindran, Himank, Nandini Reddy and Meghna Vinod, and wrote: “I love you more than you’ll ever know,” accompanied by a series of white heart emojis.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been on a break and is currently focusing on her health. The actress, who was diagnosed with the autoimmune condition of myositis last year, had shocked fans after she officially announced that she was taking a sabbatical to look after herself. In 2021, Samantha announced her divorce from actor Naga Chaitanya. They were married for almost four years.

On the work front, Samantha gained a lot of popularity for her performance in the web series The Family Season 2 in which she was seen alongside Manoj Bajpayee. Helmed by Raj and DK, the series streamed on the OTT platform Prime Video.

She will next be seen in an upcoming action thriller series Citadel: Hunny Bunny co-starring Varun Dhawan. The series is directed by Raj and DK and will stream on Prime Video. However, the official release date of the series is still awaited.
