Selena Gomez Gives Boss Lady Reply To Trolls Amid Plastic Surgery Rumours

Actress-singer Selena Gomez enjoys a huge fan base across the globe, thanks to her flourishing music career along the lines of her acting ventures. However, fame always comes with a lot of scrutiny, as was the case with Gomez. Over the years, the star has been a consistent target among trolls over rumours of going under the knife. The speculations got reignited when she made a public joke at the SAG Awards 2022. “I’m excited too. Although it’s hard for me to express the excitement because the Botox is fresh,” her Only Murders in the Building co-star Martin Short said, to which she jokingly replied, “Alright, mine too.”

While the 32-year-old has been repeatedly denying plastic surgery rumours, it seems like the accusations are going to rest anytime soon. Shutting them down once again, Selena Gomez recently addressed the online discussions regarding her undergoing cosmetic work, asking people to leave her alone.

Her reaction came in response to a video shared by content creator Marissa Barrionueve about her changing looks. The video features various pictures of the singer—one taken a few years ago and another at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. “I think she’s been through so much in her life, especially medically related, so I don’t think it’s fair to speculate whether or not she’s gotten cosmetic things done. At the end of the day, let’s just leave her be,” the Tiktoker said, as quoted by ENews.

It was originally shared in 2023, while Gomez commented on it on July 27 of this year. Seemingly frustrated by such comments, she took to the comment section and wrote, “Honestly, I hate this. I was in stripes because of the flare-up. I have Botox. That’s it. Leave me alone.”

Later, the Tiktoker shared a new video and apologised to the Calm Down singer, clarifying that she meant the best and did not want to rub her in the wrong way. Luckily for her, Gomez cleared the air and assured her that they were all good.

Besides bashing trolls, Selena Gomez has always made sure to shut down any sort of negative body image comments about her. She also responded to the bullies who mocked her appearance at the Golden Globes.
