Films collectively raked in a record-breaking sum of approximately Rs 11,730 crore in 2023. Shah Rukh Khan witnessed blockbuster hits and outshined even the most prominent South stars at the box office.
Following the film Zero, Shahrukh Khan took a four-year break from the screen. He made a successful comeback with the movie Pathan last year, startling fans with his intense action and stunt sequences.

King Khan took the lead among actors with the highest earnings, surpassing Ranbir Kapoor’s Rs 1100 crore and Thalapathy Vijay’s Rs 900 crore worldwide. Notably, even among producers, Aditya Chopra trailed behind Shah Rukh with a global collection of Rs 1500 crore.
Shah Rukh Khan’s global earnings of Rs 2600 crore outpaced the combined revenues of 2023 Tamil and Telugu films. Data from trade tracker Sacnilk reveals that Tamil films garnered Rs 2160 crore worldwide in their original language, while Telugu films secured around Rs 2300 crore in their native language (excluding dubbed versions).
Bollywood films earned a net of Rs 4,617 crore, and an additional Rs 2,124 crore overseas, as reported by Sacnilk. Shah Rukh Khan’s impressive Rs 2600-crore collection featured more than Rs 2450 crore from Hindi releases. His films contributed 52% to the overseas gross and 31% to the domestic net.
