Stree 2 Release Date, Cast, Box Office: After six long years, Stree fans are finally going to be treated to a sequel. Stree 2 is all set to take over the Independence Day weekend. The film brings back Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead. They will be joined by Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. Ahead of the release, here’s everything you need to know about the horror-comedy.

Stree 2 Release Date:

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 is set to release on August 15, 2024.

Stree 2 Cast:

The film marks the return of Shraddha Kapoor as Girl with No Name along with Rajkummar as Vicky. Pankaj plays the role of Rudra, Abhishek reprises his role of Jana and Aparshakti will essay the role of Bittu. The film also features Tamannaah Bhatia, who not only appears in a song but also reportedly has a crucial role in the film. The film also features a cameo by Varun Dhawan. He will reprise his role from Bedhiya, which falls in the same universe as Stree.

Stree 2 Plot:

Stree 2 will reportedly revolve around a new monster, a headless demon named Sarkate. The monster kidnaps women from Chanderi. The lead cast is tasked with plotting a plan to take down Sarkate. The trailer had revealed that the headless monster is the reason Stree turned into an angry spirit that haunts men.

The film has a U/A rating.

Stree 2 is said to be 2 hours and 15 minutes long.

Stree 2 Tickets and Box Office:

Stree 2 will be clashing with Akshay Kumar starrer Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. According to BookMyShow, over 2,40,000 users have expressed interest in watching Stree 2, around 30,000 for Vedaa, and 38,000 for Khel Khel Mein. Trade experts told News18 that Stree 2 is likely to emerge as the biggest winner on Independence Day.

“Stree 2 will have a landslide win. It’s a one-sided situation. It almost feels like a solo film is releasing. It will attract audiences in both multiplexes and single screens. In fact, Stree 2 controls 50 percent of the multiplex screens and shows. I’m expecting it to garner Rs 25 crore on day one. I wouldn’t be surprised if it even hits Rs 30 crore,” Trade guru Atul Mohan said.
