Taylor Swift has made her smashing debut on Forbes’ 2024 billionaires list. The pop superstar, who reached billionaire status in October, has joined Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey and Star Wars creator George Lucas among others on the world’s billionaires list. Swift was ranked at No. 14 with a massive net worth of $1.1 billion (approximately Rs 9,169 crores).

According to Forbes, Taylor Swift achieved the milestone due to the phenomenal success of her Eras Tour. “Her estimated $190 million post-tax earnings from her historic Eras Tour helped boost the country-and-pop musician into the three-comma club—the first person to do it based solely on songwriting and performing,” Forbes reported.

Meanwhile, Lucas topped the celebrity billionaires list with a whopping net worth of $5.5 billion (approximately Rs 45,842 crores).

The big news comes a day after Taylor Swift bagged six awards, including artist of the year at 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday. The singer, who was not in attendance, thanked fans for voting for her via a recorded message.

“I wanted to say thank you so much to anyone who voted for this award,” said Swift in the recorded video. “To the fans, it’s completely up to you to choose how you spend your time, what concerts you want to go to, what music do you want to make the soundtrack to your life, and to anyone who has included me in those choices, I’m so thankful for that.”

Taylor Swift is currently gearing up for the release of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. She will resume her Eras Tour in May when she will perform at the Paris La Défense Arena in France.
