Trisha Threatens Legal Action Against Ex-AIADMK Member Over Derogatory Remarks: 'It's Disgusting...'

Celebrated actor from the south, Trisha Krishnan, has said she will take legal action against individuals who indulged in alleged slander, after a video surfaced of a former AIADMK functionary speaking derogatorily about her and associating her with party leaders.

Recently sacked AIADMK’s Salem West Union Secretary AV Raju alleged that the AIADMK leadership under VK Sasikala – who was holding the reins just after J Jayalalithaa’s death in December 2016 – made several inducements to ensure MLAs did not cross over to rebel leader O Panneerselvam. By way of detailing how the AIADMK leadership arranged these inducements, Raju made several comments linking actor Trisha to AIADMK’s attempts to keep their MLA flock together at their beachside resort off Chennai’s koovathur.

As the video went viral and social media erupted with outrage over the sacked AIADMK functionary’s comments, Trisha Krishnan took to X to write, “It is disgusting to repeatedly see low lives and despicable human beings who will stoop down to any level to gain attention. Rest assured necessary and severe action will be taken. Anything that needs to be said and done henceforth will be from my legal department.”

This comes just months after Actor Mansoor Ali Khan in a speech made an insensitive comment about Trisha seeming to normalise “rape” sequences in movies. After Trisha reacted angrily, Khan expressed regret over his statement.
