Vicky Kaushal Wraps Chhava Shoot ‘With Some Drama’: ‘There’s So Much I Wish To Say’
Vicky Kaushal recently announced that he has wrapped Chhava shoot. The actor will be essaying the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in he film.

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna will soon be seen sharing the screen space together for a one-of-a kind historical drama ‘Chhava’. The movie will star Vicky as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna will step into the role of Yesubai Bhonsale. As the fans wait eagerly to see their favourite stars in an intense historical drama, Vicky Kaushal recently announced that he has wrapped shooting for the film.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Vicky Kaushal penned an emotional note about the film wrap. Calling the shoot ‘passionate and incredible’, he wrote, “The incredibly passionate and dramatic journey of filming Chhaava couldn’t have ended without some drama. The rain Gods really put up a show today, immediately after we rolled our final shot.”

He further added, “There’s so much I wish to to say, there’s so little I’m able to convey about this journey right now… may be in a few days when it all sinks in. All I can say now with a heart full of gratitude, love and contentment is that… IT’S A WRAP!!!”

Chhava is a historical drama that revolves around the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In the film, Vicky Kaushal is set to portray the character of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Maratha empire’s founder. On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna takes on the role of Yesubai Bhonsale in the film. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in key roles. According to a report by Pinkvilla, actor Neil Bhoopalam has also been roped in to portray the character of a Mughal prince in the film.

Chaava marks the second collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Laxman Utekar after Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on December 6, 2024.

Apart from Chaava, Vicky Kaushal has a stunning lineup of projects in his kitty. He is set to feature in director Shashank Khaitan’s comedy-drama Mr. Lele, alongside Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. Additionally, he is scheduled to appear in Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming film Lahore 1947, which also features Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol. Vicky also has Karan Johar’s next untitled production venture opposite Tripti Dimri and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Love & War’ co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
