Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have joined forces for the upcoming Marvel film Deadpool 3. The much-anticipated threequel of the franchise helmed by Shawn Levy is slated to hit the silver screens on July 26. MCU fans are waiting with bated breaths for Deadpool 3’s release, especially because it assembles two popular superhero characters under one roof — Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool aka Wade Wilson, and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine aka Logan. Now, X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn has given his insight on the buzz surrounding Deadpool 3. According to him, the Shawn Levy directorial has the power to “save the whole Marvel universe.”
During a promotional tour for his upcoming action thriller Argylle, Matthew Vaughn made an appearance on BroBible’s Post-Credit podcast, reported Variety. Talking about Deadpool 3, the director said, “The few snippets that I know about Deadpool vs. Wolverine — or Wolverine vs. Deadpool, I’m sure that argument between Ryan and Hugh is happening as we speak — are unbelievable.” He continued that the film had the potential to “jolt” the Marvel universe and “bring that body back to life.” Heaping praise on Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Matthew added that the two actors “are about to save the whole Marvel universe.”

Although Matthew Vaughn is not associated with Deadpool 3, he has Marvel films like X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past to his name. Calling himself “a genuine fan of the X-Men”, Matthew hoped that the third installment of the Deadpool film series would be successful. “All I want is for the movies to be as good as they should be,” he said.
Earlier, Ryan Reynolds dropped a heartwarming post on social media after Deadpool 3 wrapped up shooting. He credited the hard work of the cast and crew members “who battled wind, rain, strikes” to complete the filming. Hugh Jackman shared a video of getting his Wolverine beard shaved saying that he “loved every minute of making” Deadpool 3.
Director Shawn Levy too posted a black-and-white photo of himself sharing the same frame with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. He stated that although the three started their Deadpool 3 journey with friendship, it “ended with brotherhood”.
Deadpool 3 also stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Matthew Macfadyen, and Jennifer Garner in important roles.
