Neha Kakkar might have been the voice behind almost every hit song in 2018, but the start of the new year isn't looking very happy for the singer. The Aankh Marey hitmaker, who has reportedly broken up with actor Himansh Kolhi, admitted in a series of Instagram posts that she is going through one of the worst phases of her life.
Lovingly referred to as Nehansh by their fans, Neha and the Yaariyan actor were said to be dating for most part of last year, but it seems the year ended with the end of the relationship as well. The two had starred in a video O Humsafar, together, and Himansh had admitted on the Indian Idol stage that Neha was more than just a friend to him.
They have apparently made their breakup ‘Insta-official’, unfollowing each other on Instagram. Neha also has deleted a large number of their couple photos.
Taking to her Instagram stories to share her feelings with her fans, the Dilbar singer said on Friday that she is suffering from depression.
The singer is on a tour currently, performing in various cities in India. A video from her recent performance in Ahmedabad shows Neha breaking down on stage while singing Maahi Ve. Just before the song, she says she dedicates it to those nursing a broken heart.
During the song, she chokes up multiple times, and stops in between lines to wipe tears and steady her voice. She then stops the song abruptly and says, "Sorry guys, no matter what happens in my personal life, I am here for you today, and the next song is dedicated to all those who have gathered for me here today."
