After the smashing success of her directorial Flamin’ Hot, Eva Longoria is all set to come in front of the cameras. The Hollywood star is the latest one to join the ensemble cast of Hulu’s Only Murders In The Building Season 4. As per a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the storyline revolving around Eva’s character has been kept under wraps. However, the report confirmed that the multihyphenate will appear in a recurring role that eventually becomes an integral part of the twists of the fourth season’s investigation. It must be noted that Eva Longoria is the second new star to be joining the Arconian crew in the next instalment, after Molly Shanon.
While we still await to learn more about Eva Longoria’s character, the report confirmed that Molly Shanon will be essaying the role of a high-powered businesswoman. Detailing her role, the report stated that the businesswoman from Los Angeles will be drawn into the murder investigation of Sazz Pataki, which is essayed by Jane Lynch. Legendary Hollywood actress Meryl Streep will also be returning with her iconic role of Loretta Durkin in the upcoming season. Meryl Streep made her first appearance in season 3 of Only Murders In The Building.
Eva Longoria, Molly Shanon and Meryl Streep will be seen sharing the screen space with the series’ original cast including Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short. In case you are wondering, the upcoming season will resume, where the previous installment of the comedy series ended. The third season, which premiered its finale last year in October, concluded with the murder of Jane Lynch’s character Sazz Pataki, who is basically a stunt double for Steve Martin’s character Charles.
The Emmy-nominated comedy series is co-created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, who are also executive producers alongside Selena Gomez and Martin Short. Only Murders In The Building is backed by 20th Television. The show premiered its first episode in August 2021.
Talking about Eva Longoria, the actress is currently busy with the promotional spree of her new Apple TV+ series Land Of Women. Apart from being the executive producer, Eva Longoria shares the screen space with Carmen Maura. The six-episode series is a cinematic inspiration of Sandra Barneda’s best-selling novel with the same title. Land Of Women will be premiered in both Spanish and English.
