Imran Khan, Genelia D'Souza's Viral Picture Together Sparks Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na 2 Rumours; Fans React

Yesterday marked the 15th anniversary of the beloved romantic drama ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, which left fans reminiscing about the film that sparked their belief in the possibility of friends turning into lovers. This timeless favourite, known for its post-college coming-of-age theme and the irresistible attraction between opposites, resonated with audiences through its well-known narrative elements, including the climactic airport proposal scene. As it turns out, the leading actors Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza had a reunion recently that sparked incessant demands by fans for a sequel.

A reddit user by the name EndOne6244 recently shared a screenshot on the Bollywood sub which featured Genelia D’Souza and Imran Khan posing with a woman. The picture was originally shared by an employee of Aamir Khan Productions on Instagram. In the pic, Imran Khan can be seen sporting blue shirt and white pants and Genelia looked pretty in a white shirt. The reddit user shared the image with the caption, “Something new cooking? Would love to watch them together again.”

Reacting to the same, other netizens quipped in with their thoughts. One of them wrote,

” Jaane Tu is my ABSOLUTE favourite movie. I would actually scream louder than I ever have, if they work together again.” Another one commented, “If they make a JTYJN but where Jay and Aditi are parents, I would LOVE IT.”

Imran Khan brought back memories from 2008 when he sang Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa at a recent event. Over the weekend, Imran sat down to talk about his work in Bollywood and his long break from it when he travelled back in time and decided to treat fans with a scoop of nostalgia. In a video gone viral, Imran was seen seated on stage and singing Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa from Aa Gale Lag Jaa. The song played a pivotal role in his debut film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa.

In the movie, his character Jai sings the song for Aditi, played by Genelia, after he realises that he is in love with her. Following the film’s release, the song became popular yet again among youngsters. Imran singing the song again left fans grinning with joy. Many also urged Imran to make a comeback soon.
