Rajinikanth was one of the several invitees to attend the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.

The Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22 was a grand affair. Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the auspicious rituals and addressed the nation on the momentous day. Many prominent personalities, including big names from the Hindi and South Indian film industries, attended the event.Megastar Rajinikanth called himself fortunate to be able to witness a historic event. “It was a historic event and I am very fortunate. Will definitely come to Ayodhya every year,” he said. Rajinikanth was seated in the front row and was seen chatting with officials before the event.

After the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, the temple received a symbolic shower of petals from Army choppers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the people. A video circulating on the internet shows PM Modi and Rajinikanth engaging in a short conversation.

Apart from Rajinikanth, notable figures from the South film industry, such as Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Rishab Shetty, attended the event. Chiranjeevi, expressing his enthusiasm before departing for Ayodhya at the Hyderabad airport, said, “It’s a rare opportunity. I feel Lord Hanuman, who is my deity, has personally invited me. On the other hand, Ram Charan said before the ceremony, ‘It’s a long wait, and we are all very honoured to be there.”

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Ayushmann Khurrana, Kangana Ranaut, Jackie Shroff, and Asha Bhosle were among the list of celebrities who attended the Pran Pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya. The event saw over 7,000 attendees, including politicians, celebrities, industrialists, saints, and approximately 100 representatives from different countries.

The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is constructed in the traditional Nagara architectural style. Spanning 380 feet in length (east-west) and 250 feet in width, the temple is 161 feet tall. It is fortified by 392 pillars and adorned with 44 doorways. The pillars and walls of the temple showcase intricate sculptures depicting various Hindu deities, gods, and goddesses.
