Veteran actress Rekha greeted Shatrughan Sinha by touching his feet at a wedding reception on Saturday night. In a video going viral, Rekha was seen present at the wedding reception venue when Shatrughan arrived. The actress first met with the yesteryear actor’s daughter, actress Sonakshi Sinha before she made her way to Shatrughan. In the video, Rekha was seen greeting Sonakshi with a warm hug and even had a quick chat with her. She then made her way to Shatrughan.
As soon as she arrived, the 69-year-old actress instantly fell on the 77-year-old star’s feet and took his blessings. Rekha then approahced Poonam, Shatrughan’s wife, and gave her a hug. The adorable interaction was caught by the paparazzi present at the venue. Rekha then joined the couple to pose for a few photos before they headed towards the wedding reception.
For the special night, Rekha opted for a blue saree. She accessorised the saree with a maang tikka, blue bangals and statement earrings. She completed her look with a neat bun and jasmine flowers wrapped around it. Meanwhile, Shatrughan was seen wearing a formal outfit and Sonakshi experimented with a crop top, skirt and a cape. Shatrughan recently revealed that he didn’t speak with Rekha for 20 years. Rekha and Shatrughan had a fall-out when they were filming for Rakesh Roshan’s Khoon Bhari Maang. The actor told Zoom, “We had a difference of opinion over some silly issue. After that, we didn’t speak to each other for more than 20 years.”
Talking about their reconciliation, he said, “It was none other than my better half Shrimati Poonam Sinha. You see, Rekha and she were close friends. And so my so-called cold war with Rekha was causing difficulties in my wife’s friendship with Rekha. She patched us up for her own selfish reason and I happily agreed to let bygones be bygones.”
