When Ranveer Said Deepika Padukone Didn't Like Their Chemistry: 'She Feels She Looks Better With...'

The first episode of Koffee with Karan Season 8 will feature Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh spilling the beans on their dating life, marriage and professional careers. The episode will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on Thursday, October 26. In the leaked promo that’s doing the round on Reddit, Karan asks Deepika who she has the best chemistry with, besides Ranveer, she says, “With Hrithik (Roshan), which everyone is going to see.” Her response takes both Karan and Ranveer by surprise. Deepika will be seen opposite Hrithik in Sidharth Anand’s action film Fighter, which is slated to release on January 25, 2024.

However, amid all the frenzy around the first promo, we got our hands on a throwback interview of Ranveer, in which the actor admitted that Deepika wasn’t very fond of their onscreen chemistry. While Ranveer maintained that he looked the best with Deepika, she didn’t seem to share the same opinion, reported Pinkvilla.

Speaking to Filmfare, Ranveer had said in 2015, “Deepika is going through her golden period. I had the privilege to act in such close tandem with her in Bajirao Mastani. We have intense romantic scenes together, but Deepika does not think so. However, I think our chemistry is extra special. Deepika feels I look better with Anushka (Sharma) and she looks better with Ranbir Kapoor. I am not of that opinion; I have a point to prove to her on that.”

Earlier News18 had exclusively confirmed that Kartik Aaryan would also make an appearance on KWK this season. It is also speculated that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt could appear together on Koffee With Karan 8. Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol have also been confirmed as guests.
