The BWF World Tour Finals 2023 – Group Stage will begin on Wednesday, December 13, in Hangzhou, China. The finals marks the end of the 2023 season with the top eight ranked players and pairs from the world tour battling it out in a group-to-knockout tournament to crown this year’s World Tour Finals champions.
The men’s singles will feature players like World Tour top-ranked Kodai Naraoka (Japan), Anders Antonsen (Denmark), and Kunlavut Vitidsarn (Thailand) amongst others. Two-time reigning Finals champion and World #1 ranked Viktor Axelsen (Denmark) will aim to make it a three-peat at the event as he hunts down another trophy this year. The women’s singles will feature home favourite Chen Yu Fei (China) and other key names like Tai Tzu Ying (Chinese Taipei) and Carolina Marin (Spain). No Indian players will be participating in the Finals. The last time this happened was in 2010.
