'I Would Flatten Tyres of Cars': Sachin Tendulkar Recalls 'Naughtiest Thing' he Did as a Child
Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has recalled how he used to flatten all four tyres of cars along with his friends as a kid.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar had a storied international career that saw him become the most prolific run-getter in the history of international cricket and one of the greatest to have play the game.

Tendulkar retired in 2013 from international cricket, a year after quitting ODIs after fulfilling his childhood dream of winning a world cup with the Indian cricket team.

On the occasion of Children’s Day, the former India captain has revealed how he used to indulge in mischief as a kid, recalling he used to flatten the tyres of cars along with his friends.

“Childhood is incomplete without a bit of mischief,” Tendulkar wrote on X (formerly X). “When I was a kid, my friends and I would flatten the tyres of the cars parked in Sahitya Sahwas. The thorough professionals that we were, our job wasn’t done until ALL 4 tyres were flattened.”

He then invited his followers to recall ‘naughtiest thing’ they did as a child.

“Rewind the time and tell me the naughtiest thing you did as a child, while I go check on my car tyres,” he added.

It led to a flurry of replies with users recalling their mischievous adventures from childhood days.

Meanwhile, Tendulkar is expected to be present when India take on New Zealand in the first semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Wednesday. The contest will be held at the Wankhede Stadium.

The Indian cricket team was the first to qualify for the world cup semi-finals and remained unbeaten in all of their nine matches to finish at the top of the points table.

This is the third successive occasion that India have made it to the last-four stage of the tournament, eyeing a third ever ODI world cup trophy.
