Jake Paul Announces His Boxing Return As He Prepares To Compete in San Juan
This is going to be the first time since November 2020 that Jake Paul will not be the top bill for the MVP boxing event.

Jake Paul will once again make a return to the boxing ring on March 2 in Puerto Rico. Just days after knocking out Andre August, Jake gave another big update about his boxing career on X. He shared his views about his next fight on the social media platform while mentioning other events as well. While he seemed excited about the upcoming event, the YouTube phenomenon revealed that he wasn’t going to be headlining the night.

“Guess who’s back ???? …Jake already? Yes, I’m on a mission…But this one is much bigger than me”, Jake wrote in his post. He paid homage to Puerto Rican women’s boxing legend Amanda Serrano who tipped the bill for what will be her homecoming fight.

Amanda Serrano has taken the crown position for the event as she looks to defend her unified WBA, IBF and WBO belts in front of 20,000 people. The event will see the MVP signee, Wanna Walton also make his debut on the big stage. Jake Paul, on the other side, will be co-main-eventing the night with Serrano. His social media post further read, “This one is for the greatest Puerto Rican boxer ever, Amanda Serrano. This one is for the people of Puerto Rico, from the Choliseo to the world. This one is for all of boxing to see how powerful women are in this sport”.

Despite not being the ‘main star’ of the show Jake seems to be quite excited about performing on the island of San Juan. “I can’t wait to fight in San Juan and show the world this beautiful island. Yours truly, El Gallo de Dorado”, he wrote. In his most recent fight against Andre August, Jake knocked out his competitor in the opening round with a brutal uppercut on December 15. Paul was in his game since the ring of the bell as he got behind his jab. The perfectly timed shot right on the button prevented August from beating the referee’s count. This saw Jake pick up what was one of the most legitimate wins of his boxing career.

This is going to be the first time since November 2020 that Jake Paul will not be the top bill for the MVP boxing event. The last time this happened, Jake knocked out Mike Tyson’s undercard and basketballer Nate Robinson. In his career, Jake has competed in a total of nine fights since 2020 winning eight times and losing just once. He conceded his only defeat against Tommy Fury by decision back in February.
