1. Mental Ability Test (MAT): This section features 90 multiple-choice questions that assess students’ mental acuity, including non-verbal and verbal abilities such as reasoning and critical thinking.

2. Scholastic Abilities Test: This section encompasses questions based on science, social science, and mathematics. The content aligns with the syllabus covered in classes 7 and 8, covering topics such as analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figures, and more.

Paper 1 will be held from 10:30 AM to 12 PM., and paper 2 will be held from 2 PM to 3:30 PM. Specially-abled candidates will get an extra 30 minutes to finish the exam, as per the official notification.

The Central Sector Scheme NMMS was launched in 2008 to award scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to curb their dropout after class VIII and encourage them to continue their education at the secondary stage. Under this scheme, it is proposed to award 100,000 scholarships to meritorious students whose total parental income is equal to or less than Rs 3,50,000 per annum.

The students appearing for the exams must be enrolled in government, government-aided, or local body schools. The family income of the applicants should be below Rs 3,50,000. Students are required to have a minimum of 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade in their class 7 examinations. SC and ST category students are given a relaxation of 5 per cent in the eligibility criteria.
