'Losing Form at Peak Time..' Babar Azam Gets Trolled For Low Scores Ahead of IND vs PAK World Cup Clash
Babar Azam scored 5 runs against Netherlands and 10 runs against India recording back to back low scores ahead of the India vs Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 game

Pakistan captain Babar Azam has started the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 on a subdued note personally, the star batter managed to score just five runs against the Netherlands followed by another early dismissal against Sri Lanka. Azam scored 10 runs against the Lankan Lions and ahead of the India vs Pakistan clash, fans started to question Babar’s form after the low scores he recorded in the first two World Cup games.

During Pakistan’s opening game against the Netherlands, Babar managed to score just five runs even though the Men in Green managed to pick up an easy 81-run victory.

Azam did score 80 runs against New Zealand in Pakistan’s first warm-up fixture, followed by a 90-run knock against Australia but in the three games before that, he had managed scores of 29, 10, and 17.

Ahead of the India vs Pakistan clash, many fans demanded Babar to respond to the criticism by scoring big against the Men in Blue, however, others felt that against Sri Lanka, chasing a big total of 345 on a flat pitch was the perfect way for Babar to find his rhythm.

Babar’s displays haven’t been inspiring to say the least but with the two knocks he played in the practice game, the Pakistan captain did allay some fears. However, after a slow start to the World Cup campaign with two back-to-back low scores, there would certainly be some pressure on the 28-year-old ahead of a crunch fixture against India.

Pakistan meanwhile got their chase of 345 against Sri Lanka off to a rocky start as Imam-ul-Haq and Babar both failed to leave a mark, after which Mohammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique joined hands to keep the Green Army alive in the chase.
