Indian Premier League franchise Lucknow Super Giants have parted ways with their assistant coach Vijay Dahiya. The former cricketer posted a note on his social media account to bid farewell to LSG after a two-year association with them. The franchise also posted a thank you note for Dahiya for his services.
“Time to bid adieu … LSG. Lucknow Super Giants, it was a wonderful experience working with the team over the past two years. Wishing team LSG all the very best @lucknowsupergiants #lucknowsupergiants,” Dahiya posted on Instagram.

LSG, who joined IPL in 2022, have decided to make changes to their coaching staff for next year as they have appointed Justin Langer as their head coach after parting ways with Andy Flower. Recently, Gautam Gambhir also left LSG to rejoin Kolkata Knight Riders as a mentor. The southpaw had led the KKR to two-time IPL titles during his playing days.

Langer was appointed as the coach of Australian cricket team in May 2018. During his tenure, Australia captured the title by defeating England 4–0 in the Ashes series. Not only this, in the year 2021, during Langer’s tenure, Australia also won the T20 World Cup for the first time. Apart from this, Perth Scorchers also won the Big Bash title three times under the guidance of Langer.
After the addition of the Langer, his former Australian cricket spin coach consultant, Sridharan Sriram, also joined Lucknow Super Giants as the assistant coach for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, during the IPL 2024 Auction, Lucknow filled out every single one of their slots remaining, stacking up 25 total players in their full-strength squad.
LSG made 6 buys in the IPL 2024 Auction, acquiring the services of 2 bowlers, 3 all-rounders and 1 batter along the way to finish up their squad for the upcoming IPL season.
