2G: CBI to give case file to Swamy in two days
The Janata Party chief alleged that despite a judicial order, the CBI has not given him the documents so far.

New Delhi: The CBI on Tuesday told a Delhi court that it would provide in two days a copy of a file relating to the 2G spectrum allocation to Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy who alleged the document would prove the "complicity" of then Finance Minister P Chidambaram in the scam.

CBI prosecutor AK Singh told Special CBI Judge OP Saini that the agency will give the copy of the file to Swamy by Thursday.

The Janata Party chief on Tuesday appeared before the court to allege that despite a judicial order on the issue the probe agency has not given him the documents so far.

Swamy, in his application which was filed earlier, had sought the copy of the file, relating to the Unified Access Services Licences (UASL) policy regarding sale of equity (lock-in period) which was seized by the CBI on October 22, 2009, during its probe.

He is seeking prosecution of Chidambaram in the 2G case.
