AAP defends Jan Lokpal Bill, says will be tabled
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has declared that he won't hesitate to resign if Jan Lokpal Bill isn't passed.

New Delhi: AAP spokesperson Ashutosh said that his party's government was committed to passing the controversial Jan Lokpal Bill in Delhi Assembly. He said, "We will pass it at any cost. Despite Law Ministry's opinion, Jan Lokpal will be tabled and passed in this session. The Law Ministry's opinion is malafide and there is an ulterior motive that's why they are saying this."

He endorsed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's stand on the Bill saying that they won't hesitate to resign if it isn't passed. Defending the Bill he said that the AAP government had taken the opinion of eminent jurist Soli J Sorabjee on it.

Ashutosh said, "We have taken the opinion of Soli Sorabjee and we believe that it's totally constitutional to pass the Bill. If there's a problem then go to the court, why do this? The BJP and the Congress both don't want to pass the Bill. If they support the Bill then pass it in Vidhan Sabha, why don't they pass it, their intentions aren't right."
