Kanpur: Actress Nagma, a star campaigner for the Congress in the last Lok Sabha polls, wants to make her electoral debut from a Mumbai seat in the coming parliamentary elections, but says a final decision in this regard rests with the party High Command.

Nagma, who has acted in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Bhojpuri films, told reporters here that she has conveyed to senior party leaders her desire to contest the Lok Sabha polls from a seat in Mumabi.

Hailed by some as the "Madhuri Dixit of Bhojpuri cinema", Nagma was in the industrial town to participate in a party programme.

Asked if she failed to get the ticket from Mumbai, the actress said she was willing to contest from any other Lok Sabha constituency.

"I can contest from Aligarh, Moradabad or Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh or from Indore in Madhya Pradesh," she added.

Asked about film stars doing a vanishing trick after winning the elections, Nagma said the voters could not be fooled every time.

"If you win, you have to work in the constituency," she said.

Nagma had won the Bhojpuri Best Actress award in 2005 for her role in film Dulha Milal Dildar.
