Akhilesh Yadav Downplays Samajwadi Party Feud, To Focus on Polls
“First give us a majority and then we will see,” he said.

“I am working on my campaign and am totally focused on the planned Rath Yatra," Akhilesh told News18, adding, “Am busy now with showcasing the campaigning theme and development work. Ultimately, people will vote on the basis of development not caste."

The Uttar Pradesh chief minister refused to be drawn into the goings-on in his party that has been at war with itself for weeks now.

“First give us a majority and then we will see," he said.

As the SP crisis deepened on Monday, SP state president Shivpal Yadav had expelled his cousin Ram Gopal Yadav from the party, and Akhilesh retaliated by expelling four ministers including Shivpal from the cabinet.

“There is no question of taking Shivpal Yadav back unless Ram Gopal Yadav’s suspension is revoked," the source said, adding that the CM is convinced that Amar Singh, who was re-inducted into the party recently was the one “misleading" his father.
