Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh is all set to play the role of the country's Home Minister but only in reel life as he will star in a flim Chargesheet produced by actor-director Dev Anand.
"When the offer of becoming Home Minister in the film came to me, I could not refuse it as it came from Dev Anand, whom I respect a lot," Singh, 53, who is know for his proximity with Bollywood celebrities, told reporters at his residence in Lucknow.
The SP leader said that he was fan of Dev Anand and was doing the film Chargesheet for him.
Singh said that owing to his busy schedule due to elections, the film will be shot at his residence in New Delhi as he could not go to Mumbai for the purpose.
"As soon as I reach Delhi the date and time of shooting will be decided," he said.
He, however, did not elaborate on the film.
