Sitapur (UP): Union Minister Beni Prasad Verma was on Friday booed by a crowd after his helicopter mistakenly landed at a helipad near the rally of another party during poll campaigning in Uttar Pradesh.

Verma, who had to address a Congress meeting at Mela ground in Biswan, reached the nearby Guljar Shah ground on Friday afternoon, where Peace Party workers were gathered to hear Dr Ayub.

Ayub had left after addressing the meeting when Beni's helicopter landed there, promting jeers from Peace Party workers. Verma soon returned to his helicopter and left for his destination.

The Mela ground and Guljar Shah are in close vicinity which apparently led to the confusion.

Later, addressing the gathering, Verma said that 2012 assembly elections were semi-final of 2015 Lok Sabha polls in which "real fight would be between Rahul (Gandhi) and (Narendra) Modi".

He said that if voted to power, his party would provide 5000 jobs in each district.

What's your reaction?
