Varanasi: Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor and Varanasi candidate Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party is planning on rigging the polls in eastern Uttar Pradesh (Poorvanchal).
Kejriwal also accused the media of being biased towards BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. Kejriwal is up against Modi for the big battle in Varanasi on May 12.
On Tuesday, JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav reached the temple town to campaign for Kejriwal. Attacking Narendra Modi for using Hindu god Ram's picture on the stage backdrop at a rally, Sharad Yadav charged that the Ram Temple issue was BJP's hidden agenda and the party has chosen Varanasi as the epicentre to spread communalism in the country.
"BJP's hidden agenda was Ram temple issue and they want to spread communalism in the entire country for which they had chosen Varanasi as its centre to commence," Yadav said.
